Necromus is a the best ground moun in the gamet, as it is modestly speedy. But more importantly, it is able to give the player a double jump when ridden as a mount, which is valuable for mobility on the ground.

Necromus's speed also gets boosted when it ranks up unlike some flying mounts, making it better suited as a mount in some situations despite not being able to fly.

Ferocious increases Necromus's Attack power.

Legend gives Necromus an attack boost that stacks with Ferocious, a speed boost that stacks with its other speed boosts, and a defense boost.

Swift improves Necromus's speed and stacks with Runner, giving Necromus even more speed boosts, which is valuable for a rideable mount.

Do note that some of these skills may be exclusive to certain Pals, and the only way to get it on Necromus is to pass it down via breeding.

Necromus's Partner Skill is Dark Knight of the Abyss. Unfortunately, this is only useful if it's your active Pal.

As for its Work Suitabilities, it has Lumbering Lv. 2 and Mining Lv. 2. These aren't great for a Legendary Pal since there are other Pals that are easier to get with better Work Suitability levels, but it offsets this by being one of the best base defenders in the game thanks to its great base stats and attacks that it naturally learns.

These four passives are used to give Necromus a balanced boost to its Work and Movement Speeds.

Artisan and Serious give it a +70% Work Speed boost, helping it quickly finish a task so that it can move on to the next one.

Swift and Runner are used to give it a +50% Movement Speed boost, making it swiftly move from task to task.

Alternatively, you could use -Hunger or +Sanity passives if you plan on assigning Necromus to a Logging Site or Stone Pit.

Pass Down Skills Through Breeding

Some skills are exclusive to certain Pals, making the only way to get it on Necromus is to pass it down via breeding.

Since Necromus is a Legendary Pal, it can only be hatched from eggs that come from two Necromus breeding together. This means that it cannot get certain exclusive passives like Lucky or Earth Emperor through breeding.

Twin Spears	Its signature Dark-type attack that makes Necromus charge into the enemy.
Dark Laser	Another Dark-type attack that decimates enemies that have been grouped up.
Rock Lance	A Ground-type attack in case of Dragon-types that resist its Dark-type attacks.

Do note that if you have raids turned off in the world settings, then active skills don't matter for Necromus's best base build.
