There are ways to prevent losing your items and pals upon death in Palworld. Learn which world settings to change and what measures you can take to prevent losing your items upon death.
If you don't like retrieving your items every time you die in the game, you can change the world settings so you keep your items after death.
You can decrease the game's overall difficulty to Casual, or if you don't want to change any other setting, you can go into custom settings and change the Death penalty setting to the option you prefer.
Game state after restarting game
If you want to keep your world settings, one way to keep your inventory and pals after dying is by immediately closing the game when you die, not allowing the game to register your death. On PC, the easiest way to do this is by pressing Alt+F4 on your keyboard.
After reopening the game, you'll find that you're in the same spot as before you died, with all your items still in your inventory.
Palworld Glitches and Exploits
Your game's death penalty depends on your world settings. The default death penalty is losing all of the items in your inventory and equipment you are wearing. In order to retrieve them, you will have to return to the spot where you died.
You can change your game's death penalty by changing its difficulty, or you can change the death penalty itself in custom settings.
