The table above shows every Pal with a Gathering Work Suitability, along with its level. The Higher the level of the Work Suitability, the faster they are at completing tasks of that Work Suitability.
By using the Pal Essence Condenser, it's possible to upgrade all of a Pal's Work Suitabilities by one level. This is important because it's the only way to get a Pal with a Lv. 5 Work Suitability! As long as the Pal already has a Lv. 4 Work Suitability, it'll be upgraded to Lv. 5 once it's been ranked up to 4-Stars
How to Get a Level 5 Work Suitability Pal

Frostallion Noct |
Gathering Lv. 4
|
Food: 7/10 |
Frostallion Noct is the best Pal for focused Gathering tasks since it is the only Pal with Gathering Lv. 4, plus it has no other Work Suitabilities. This means that it won't get distracted by other tasks and can solely focus on anything that needs Gathering.

List of Technology | ||
---|---|---|
Berry Plantation | Lettuce Plantation | Tomato Plantation |
Wheat Plantation |
All of the Plantations in the game need a Gathering Pal to harvest their crops that have fully grown. Remember to also include Planting and Watering Pals in your base, otherwise there will be no crops to harvest.
List of Technology | ||
---|---|---|
Flower Bed |
The Flower Bed is not a structure that requires Gathering, but instead is a structure that passively boosts the work speed of any task that requires Gathering.
This will heavily reduce the time it takes to harvest crops, allowing new seeds to be sown sooner.

Not only is Frostallion Noct the best gatherer in the game at level 4, mine has just hit Gatherer level 5 at level 49! The level 5 may have happened earlier but I just happened to notice it when she dinged. IMO, the Frostallion Noct is the best PAL in the game

Ack, should have read the whole site. Apparently level five is attainable through condensing to 4 stars. That was a while back and can't believe I didn't notice.
