Tombat's Partner Skill is Ultrasonic Sensor. Unfortunately, this is only useful if it's your active Pal.

As for its Work Suitabilities, it has Transporting Lv. 2, Gathering Lv. 2, and Mining Lv. 2. This makes it a great early-game option for mining-focused bases since it can transport whatever ore nodes it mines. It also has two bonuses in it being a Dark-type that can work through the night and it can harvest the crops that the Planting and Watering Pals are growing to feed the base.

These four passives are used to give Tombat a +75% Movement Speed boost to help it quickly transport the items that it harvests and mines into storage.

If you plan on assigning Tombat to a Stone Pit, then consider changing all the passives to +Work Speed ones instead.

Nightmare Ball	The strongest attack that Tombat naturally learns.
Shadow Burst	The strongest Dark-type attack that hits enemies in an area around Tombat.
Air Cannon	A Neutral-type attack in case the enemy resists its Dark-type attacks.

Do note that if you have raids turned off in the world settings, then active skills don't matter for Tombat's best base build.
