Anubis is the strongest Ground-type Pal against Alpha Bosses, as it also imbues the player's attack with Ground damage. Anubis also has good survivability as it occasionally dodges enemy attacks.

Having two types makes Warsect a good combat Pal, as it can learn powerful moves from both types.
Warsect's partner skill also significantly increases the player's defense and gives the player's attack a fire-type damage boost while it's out. However, these three combinations of types do not make Warsect particularly synergistic to use against Alpha Bosses.
