How to Get Legendary Weapons and Armor

Only Available via Legendary Schematics

Legendary Schematics are an extremely rare drop from specific Field Alpha Bosses. As the drop rate is currently thought to be as low as 2.5%, players will need to farm these bosses heavily to try to get the Legendary gear they're gunning for.

What are Legendary Weapons and Armor?

Equipment with Higher Stats and Crafting Costs

Legendary Weapons and Armor are significantly improved over their Common versions. However, note that the cost to craft them can increase by as much as 5-10 times and require several Ancient Civilization Parts which were not required in the Common recipe.

Best Legendary Weapons and Armor to Farm

Your Favorite Weapon

In the current state of the game, there aren't yet endgame threats which are powerful enough to necessitate maxing out your player character's damage.

Instead, players can focus on farming for a Legendary to get the strongest version of the weapon they enjoy using most, be it the Assault Rifle, Rocket Launcher, or even the humble Handgun.

Early Game Legendaries are Not Worth Farming

Although the Alpha Bosses guarding them are relatively low level, the weaker Legendary Weapons are still not worth the low drop rates and high crafting costs, as even the Legendary versions of weapons like the Old Bow are outclassed by even the Common versions of higher-level weapons.
