This is a guide on how to hunt for Shiny or Lucky Pals in Palworld. Read on to learn about how to look for Lucky Pals, the odds of finding a Lucky Pal, and the best Pals to bring while Lucky hunting.
List of Contents
Currently, there is no known way to boost the odds of a Lucky Pal appearing aside from walking around and getting new Pals to spawn.
We will update this page with a new method of hunting for Lucky Pals as soon as one has been found.
From our initial testing, it's a lot more common to find Lucky Pals when compared to hunting Shiny Pokemon for example.
As long as you're roaming around and keeping an eye and ear out for them, you should have no issue in finding one eventually.
All Pal Monsters in the Paldeck
While wandering around, you may hear a sound that sounds like something is shining or sparkling. If you follow the source of that sound, it will lead you right to a Lucky Pal that you can then catch for yourself.
If you were to take a look at Lucky Pals compared to their normal version, they're significantly bigger. This is very helpful when hunting for Lucky Pals since it is a lot easier to see which one you're aiming to catch in battle.
Since Lucky Pals have a shiny aura surrounding them, they are easy to spot at night or in dark areas even from far away.
Passive Skill | Positive Effect | Negative Effect | Tier |
---|---|---|---|
Lucky | Work Speed +15% and Attack +15% | Tier +3 |
Lucky Pals will have a special passive skill called 'Lucky' that increases their Work Speed and Attack by +15%.
Currently, only Lucky Pals are able to acquire this skill, making hunting them extremely valuable especially if you're looking for efficient workers for your base.
Best Passive Skills and How to Get
Above is a Lucky Cremis with the rare Draconic Breath Dragon Active Skill.
Lucky Pals can have an extra unusual Active Skill on top of their regular Active Skill. This extra skill is typically strong, and can be of a different elemental type abnormal to the Pal's actual type (like a Lamball inheriting a Dragon-type skill).
Like every Active Skill, this extra skill can be swapped in and out of the Pal when needed.
Above are drops from a Lucky Direhowl. Other possible drops include a high value item and an accessory.
Defeating or capturing a Lucky Pal drops an Ancient Civilization Part which is used to build devices under Ancient Technology.
Ancient Technology is a branch of the Technology Tree that consist of specialized tools such as the Grappling Hook and valuable structures such as the Egg Incubator for hatching Pal Eggs found in the world or obtained from breeding.
How to Get Ancient Civilization Parts
While Lucky Pals are rare and more powerful versions of a Pal, they're not a Shiny Variant like in Pokemon.
A Pal that has a different colourway is an Elemental Variant of that Pal with a different element and sometimes, a different partner skill.
