Arrives on December 23, 2024

Bjorn and Bastigor will be added to the game during the Feybreak update on December 23, 2024. They will both arrive alongside a bigger map, new pals and equipment, new dungeons and raid bosses, and more.

Feybreak Update Release Date and New Content

A New Tower Boss

Palworld recently teased Bjorn and Bastigor, a new Tower Boss arriving in the game's Feybreak update. The teaser, which appears to be their Tower Boss intro, showed Bjorn with his arms crossed, with Bastigor in the background roaring.

Bastigor is Likely an Ice Type

Although the teaser didn't reveal Bastigor's type, and the trailer only showed him fighting Bjorn in melee combat, it is likely that Bastigor is an Ice-type Pal. This is hinted by his Japanese name, Hyougao, which was revealed in the Japanese Palworld X (formerly Twitter) account.

The first part of Hyougao's name, Hyou, is an alternate reading for the Japanese character for Ice (氷). Thanks to this, we can expect Bastigor to be Ice type, although we don't have information as to whether or not Bastigor has a second type.

Players looking to fight Bastigor once Feybreak comes out should bring strong Fire type Pals to counter him, as well as whatever other Pal he is weak to should he have a second type.

Likely the New Endgame Boss

Similar to how Saya and Selyne became the new endgame boss with the arrival of the Sakurajima update, Bjorn and Bastigor will likely be the new endgame boss with the arrival of Feybreak.

If that is the case, players should be at least level 60 if they want to fight Bjorn and Bastigor.

Bjorn and Bastigor Were Also Shown in the Feybreak Trailer

Bjorn and Bastigor were also shown in the original Feybreak trailer, fighting in hand-to-hand combat with Bjorn emerging victorious. This is likely how the two met and became partners.
