How to Get Keys Palworld

You can get keys in chests, raids, or by defeating Leezpunk, or the Black Marketeer in Palworld. Read on to find out how to get keys, where to find them, and what the keys are for.

Palworld - Copper Key Material Copper Key Palworld - Silver Key Material Silver Key Palworld - Gold Key Material Gold Key

You can get Copper Keys, Silver Keys, Gold Keys a part of the drop pool of regular chests found randomly across the map. These regular chests are signified by their yellowish or purplish glow. Chests with a red glow require keys to unlock.

Unlocking regular chests in higher level areas such as the Desert area or Snow areas (like the Astral Mountain) have higher chances of giving higher rarity keys from regular chests (the rarest being Gold Keys).

Get Keys by Completing Raids

There is also a chance for keys to drop from defeating enemies participating in a raid against your base.

Wild Pals and humans may raid your base independently or in tandem. After successfully defending your base, there is a possibility that the raid party will drop keys as part of their loot.

Stronger Pal Palworld

You can keys by defeating or capturing Leezpunk, either during raids or in the wild.

Leezpunk is a Dark Element Type so it is better to fight this Pal with a Dragon Element Type Pal.

Get Keys by Defeating the Black Marketeer

Palworld - Island Black Marketeer 4

Defeating Black Marketeers can give you a Gold Key. Take note that this will be a difficulty fight should you decide to against tthem.

Optimal preparation for the battle is essential since a Black Marketeer is accompanied by its Pal, and both are at Level 40 or above.

Opens Copper, Silver, and Gold Chests

Palworld - Get Schematics from Copper Key Chests

Copper Chests, Silver Chests, and Gold Chests hold more valuable rewards than common chests, with Gold Chests containing the best loot among the rest. These are marked with a reddish glow and will display a prompt noting a key requirement when you are near it.

These locked chests are also one of the primary sources for obtaining powerful Schematics which are higher rarity versions of technologies you unlock through the Technology tree.
