Here's how to create and join guilds in Palworld. See guild benefits, limitations, bugs, and fixes in this guide!
List of Contents
There is no need to create or join a Guild in Single player mode due to the feature being enabled by default.
When playing Solo, the Guild is already activated by default with you as the Guild Master as soon as you enter the World.
You can also set up your world to Enable Multiplayer in the World Settings if you prefer to do so.
In a Multiplayer World, creating and joining a guild requires another player to interact with.
Remember that you can only connect with another Player that's using the same platform as you are, which means strictly PC to PC or Xbox to Xbox crossplay only.
To create and join a guild with another Player, stand next to them and hold the join button. A prompt will appear on the other player's side and once they proceed, you are now both within a guild.
Under the Guild Section, select a Player you would like to Promote and tap the Make Guild Master button to give them Guild Master privileges.
Joining another Player's Guild grants you access to their existing Technologies, you're also able to fast travel from one base to another via the Statues or the Guild's Pal Boxes.
Both Items and Pals inside the Pal Boxes are shared between all the Guild members, so gather resources as much as possible!
Efficiently upgrade your Guild's base, upgrade the Pal Box, and set up defenses to survive Raid Events.
Another interesting feature is that the Paldeck registers Pals from fellow Guild members despite not encountering them yet.
Their descriptions won't be shown, but their locations can be viewed by simply clicking on the Pal.
One of the limitations of a Guild is the maximum number of Guild members.
The minimum starts from 1 player up to the current maximum limit which is 100 players, though you can easily tweak this at the World Settings to suit your preference!
The current maximum limit of Guild Members is 100. This is adjustable in the World Settings, so set it accordingly to how many players you want to allow and join your guild!
The current Guild base limit is 3 per Guild, so there's only 3 preferred locations a Guild Master can build their respective bases.
There aren't any news from the devs about expanding this in further updates yet, but we'll keep an eye out for news and announcements regarding this feature!
Leaving a Guild means losing access to facilities of the current guild you're part of. To leave the Guild, open the menu and select the Guild tab then tap the leave button and proceed to leave.
Take note that when you leave, a prompt that says Belongs to another guild
shows up and you lose access to their storage and Pal Box.
To regain access, you have to rejoin the guild or have someone drop the items for you to pick up.
On the current version of Palworld, players are only able to play with others that are on the same platform.
Crossplay updates were announced to happen in a future update, but for now it's PC to PC and Xbox to Xbox crossplay only.
This bug refers to players experiencing a save file corruption in the form of an indefinite loading screen when trying to join the guild's dedicated server.
