The highlight of the update is the new Sakurajima Island, a picturesque location adorned with cherry blossoms and lush landscapes.
The island offers new environments to explore, each inhabited by a new variety of Pals, providing a refreshing change of scenery from the existing Palworld environments.
Sakurajima Location and How to Get There
With a new island, comes a new Tower Boss. We have managed to locate a new Tower Boss, two graceful characters that are a delight to see but are deadly in battle.
The duo's combination of beauty and power makes them a difficult adversary. The fight against Saya and Selyne is tough and demands strategic planning, but defeating them does prove gratifying, especially when you have your Rocket Launcher out.
We managed to venture inside one of the Cherry Blossom Dungeons and although it shares the same floor pattern as existing dungeons, its design is distinct and captivating. The aesthetic of this dungeon is beautifully crafted, blending seamlessly with the island's overall theme.
Cherry Blossom Cave Dungeon Guide
These pieces of scraps on the floor are a new feature as well, and they are called Junkyards, which are not only found in Sakurajima but are featured in other locations as well. Once we got a closer look, we knew then that Palworld would have an easy and new way of looting without thinking of what kind of keys to bring.
Speaking of bringing keys, there is a new tool called the Lockpicking tool which makes everything easier! It's located in the Technology Tab. This is similar to the new Pal, Mimog's Partner Skill which is the Master of Unlocking, which basically does the same but Mimog does it for you!
Master of Unlocking Partner Skill and Effect
Opening the menu, we have noticed a lot of changes, particularly new additions to the game! The Paldeck has been expanded, the Technology Tab has more options now, and the Level Cap have increased!

As we travel along Sakurajima, we cannot help but see new Pals scattered all across the Island, and there are a lot. So prepare your Pal Spheres and ready your Paldeck because the stakes have been raised!
The Pals are not exclusive to the Sakurajima island alone, however, as some exist even on other islands in Palpagos such as Mimog or the Dazemu.

Throughout our adventure, we have picked up some peculiar items that weren't really there before the update. These items are newly added to the game and some of the effects of these items are spectacular.
List of New Items and Materials
One of the most exciting additions in this update is the introduction of PVP events. Players can now engage in 3v3 battles via online multiplayer, adding a competitive edge to Palworld.
This feature is the most awaited by all players and we had the chance to try it earlier! We must say that it holds great potential for attracting new players and fostering a vibrant community of competitive gamers. Once we went in, we thought we won't be coming out!
An entirely new event has been added to the game and is known as Meteorite Events. A meteor will appear and a Pal will spawn alongside it.
During one such event that happened somewhere in the Deserted Island, a wild Xenogard appeared with it, a new type of Alpha Pal that we eventually caught after a few hits here and there.
A new, challenging location called the Oil Rig Stronghold has been introduced. This area is heavily guarded, with a laser beam targeting players from a distance. The enemies here are formidable, each accompanied by their Pals for battle.
Navigating this stronghold is tough, and surviving it requires skill and preparation. Our attempts to conquer this area were met with intense resistance because different kinds of artilleries targeted us wherever we went. Luckily we made it out alive and discovered a new source of Crude Oil!
The Sakurajima Summer Update for Palworld is packed with new content and features that enrich the gaming experience. From the serene beauty of Sakurajima Island to the intense battles of the Oil Rig Stronghold, this update offers something for every type of player.
The feature that stood out to us the most, and I'm sure to a lot of gamers as well in the future, is the PVP Arena. This has been a much-awaited feature ever since Palworld was released, and it is a delight that Palworld included this in their summer update!
Get ready to explore, battle, and discover in this exciting new expansion!
