Upon reaching and traversing the Abyssal Gate during Carved in Blood, this Quest will automatically unlock.

| 1 |  Evade the Eye of Skarn After reaching the Pit of Anguish, make a dash to the left and ascend the stairs – take care of any enemy that follows you up. |
| 2 |  Defeat the Demonic Ambushers |
| 3 |  Pick a Portal Choosing any of the Portals will lead you towards the same objective. |
| 4 |  Kill the Punisher of Sin |
| 5 | Find the Pit of Anguish |
| 6 |  Defeat the Demonic Assailants |
| 7 | Destroy the Pit of Anguish |
The Punisher of Sin will fight alongside several regular enemies – the Immured – who, while not being completely dangerous, can give you trouble if you don't knock them out of the fight completely.
They can be ignored in favor of dishing all attacks against the Punisher, but be careful of their long ranged attacks which can deplete your HP if you're not paying attention.
