Actually, i was mistaken. But it is requires to specifically ask Maqi about where to get a Flower, otherwise Linsu won't have the option to get one. The Guide does not specify that asking Maqi is required to get the option.
There seems to be an issue where you can't get the free Iris at all. I've exhausted all options with Linsu and she refused to give any free Iris at all.
