 Dread of Winter |
Since Frost spells are the best when it comes to AoE and channeled CC, Dread of Winter wins out as the best Quarterstaff since it buffs them. When enchanted with Rymgrand's Blessing, you even get to cast all Frost spells at max level (provided you have at least 1 level in each of them) and at -40% Essence Cost. |

 Spark of Inspiration |
Spark of Insipiration is the runner-up since it allows you to take full advantage of the Rank 3 effects of Shock spells when enchanted with Hylea's Song (as long as you have 1 level in each Shock spell). However, it ultimately loses out against Dread of Winter since Shock spells are outclassed by the powerhouse that is Minoletta's Conduit and its Wand attack spam (making it the better Shock build option). |

 Staff of Pestilence |
Unfortunately, Staff of Pestilence just isn't that good entirely because of its passive. In order to proc it, you'd first have to be affected by an elemental status. On higher difficulties, that is a death sentence, making this Quarterstaff a glorified poison club. |

Without passives, this weapon is simply an oversized club. You're better off dropping this for something else, at least until you find the unique quarterstaves. |

How to Get: Purchased from Valtur as soon as you arrive in Dawnshore. Only get this if you're dead set on running a Quarterstaff build. It'd be a waste to upgrade this, so you're better off upgrading a secondary weapon to Fine before you try to get the first unique Quarterstaff in Dawnshore. |
| 2 | Staff of Pestilence |
How to Get: Right next to a body found in the spider nest south of the Emerald Stair Gatehouse on the southeast end of Dawnshore. It's on the half of the region that has Tier II enemies, so make sure you have a Fine quality weapon equipped before searching for it. Similar to the common Quarterstaff, don't upgrade this to Exceptional since it'd be a waste of Awakened Adra. Instead, you can upgrade a non-unique weapon to Exceptional before looking for the next unique Quarterstaff in Emerald Stair. |

How to Get: Right next to a body found inside the house with no roof at the Abandoned Farms in Emerald Stair. This is the same location as the Xaurips Bounty. Like the Staff of Pestilence, the Spark of Inspiration is guarded by Tier III enemies, which means you'd want to fight them with an Exceptional quality weapon if you don't want to get bodied. Once you have it, make sure you learn Rank 1 any Shock Spell to get the most out of its passive effect. |

How to Get: Purchased from The Thrifty Pig in Shatterscarp. Round up the coin to purchase this then you should be good to deploy any of your learned Frost spells at Rank 2. |
