Freeing Sapadal at the end of The Heart of the Living Lands will grant you the Sapadal's Fury which is a Godlike ability that lifts all nearby enemies and slams them down. This is a great ability for its crowd control and to deal massive damage, making it an efficient ability to have.

Destroy Sapadal to Get Woedica's Call

Effect: Calls forth a maegfolc ally that erupts from the earth to smite your enemies.

If you decide to destroy Sapadal during the ending of The Heart of the Living Lands main quest, you will instead get Woedica's Call which summons a maegfolc ally that will erupt from the earth to help against enemies.

Becoming One with Sapadal Removes All Epilogue Scenes About Her

If you choose to become one with Sapadal, you will still gain Sapadal's Fury but it removes all ending epilogue screens regarding Sapadal.

Should You Tell Lodwyn You'll Free Sapadal?

No Boss Fight If You Say You'll Destroy Sapadal

If you don't want to fight Inquisitor Lodwyn, you should tell her that you will destroy Sapadal. This causes the Sapadal to be angry at you, but you do avoid a boss fight.

No matter what you tell Lodwyn, you can choose differently when the real choice comes at the end of The Heart of the Living Lands quest.
