Return the Luminous Adra to Sapiento de Falva to get more during the Precious Light side quest in Avowed. Read on to learn if it's better to give the Luminous Adra to Sapiento or to give the Luminous Adra to the rightful owner which is the Vailian Trading Company.

During the Precious Light side quest, you will have the option to look for Captain Bardatto for negotiations after discovering from Captain Trevik that the Vailian Trading Company is the rightful owner of the luminous adra.
This is an optional step you can do before returning to Sapiento de Falva to complete the quest.
It is not recommended to give the Luminous Adra to Captain Bardatto. She will only thank you on behalf of the Vailian Trading Company if you choose to return the stolen adra, and you will only receive experience points.
If you fail to bring back the adra to Sapiento, he will also be disappointed since he needed that material for his vital research.
Going back to Sapiento de Falva with the Luminous Adra will grant more rewards as he will give you The Fantastic Alembic. He will also be thrilled to receive the adra, allowing him to continue his research in curing the plague.
If you choose to confront Captain Bardatto, defeating her grants you a Bloodstone Gem that can be looted from her corpse. This gem can be sold to a merchant for money.
You will also keep Captain Trevik and his crew safe from the bear attack if you choose to fight Captain Bardatto.

With today's update "1.3.0", Bardatto now drops a Fine Breastplate and Fine Dagger. It's mentioned in the patch notes that she drops equipment now.
