Search Tama's Cabin in Emerald Stair
| # | Step-by-step Walkthrough |

| 1 |  Head to Tama's Cabin, located northeast of the Emerald Stair region, between the Grim Wetlands and The Wildwoods. |
| 2 |  Once inside, go to the bedroom and interact with the Whale Carving on the nightstand. This will trigger a conversation with Kai. |

If Kai is not in your party during this objective, visit any Party Camp and speak to him there to continue. ▶︎ How to Set Up a Party Camp |
| * | After the conversation, your objective may update to "Continue the Adventure." You must progress through the story until you reach Shatterscarp to unlock the next objective. |
Find Tama's Badge in Shatterscarp
Travel to Shark’s Tooth, located northeast of the Shatterscarp region, and make your way to the small encampment on the lower left side. Be prepared to fight enemies in the area. Obtain Tama’s Badge from a skeleton between two wooden platforms, which will trigger another conversation with Kai.
If Kai is not in your party when you find Tama’s Badge, you’ll need to speak to him at any Party Camp to continue.
Visit Tama's Memorial with Kai
Head to Sailor’s Rest, just west of Thirdborn, and interact with Tama’s Memorial. Make sure Kai is in your party, as he must be present to proceed. This will lead to an emotional conversation where you can choose how to help Kai process his emotions. The quest will be completed afterward.
Dialogue affects the game's ending
The above dialogue options affect the ending Kai gets when you finish the main story of Avowed.

Battle Scars Rewards
Confess Your Feelings to Kai
While there isn’t a traditional romance system, you can confess your feelings to Kai at camp after completing the quest. This will lead to a heartfelt moment and a promise of a future together. Romancing Kai may also affect the game's ending.
Other than that, you can obtain various common weapons and items, along with XP as you progress through the quest.
