How to Get The Desert’s Bounty

Obtained in Sand Sea Ruins

The Desert's Bounty Location
Avowed - The Desert

The Desert's Bounty can be found in the Sand Sea Ruins at Shatterscarp. The ruins is where the major events of the Heart of Valor side quest takes place.

After the series of rooms with traps and platforming, players will arrive in a room with a water deposit at the center. Climb up the stairs and press the switch on the southwest wall to reveal a hidden room containing the shield.

Avowed - Sand Sea Ruins Waterlogged Area
In the Sand Sea Ruins, after passing the room with bladed traps, you will arrive at a room with a large puddle at the center. Climb up the stairs to reach the area beneath the platforms.

Avowed - Sand Sea Ruins Switch
After ascending, turn right to find an altar and some wooden contraptions. Press the switch to the right of the altar to reveal a hidden room.

Enter the room and collect The Desert's Bounty leaning on a small crate.

Weapons can be upgraded in the Workbench, requiring Metal or Wood and Herbs of equal rarity to do so. Upgrading Weapons increases its stats, raising its effectiveness in combat.

Description
The original owner of this gilded shield was a powerful orlan cipher of extraordinary talent, especially when affecting the minds of others. Hailing from Abet, she gained a position of no small authority as overseer to a number of fellow ciphers. She dedicated all of her success in life to the god Wael, who she believed looked down upon her fondly and blessed her with rare talent. Using the coin she earned in her position as overseer, the cipher had this shield made, leaving all specifics of its design and embellishment to the whims of the smith except for the eye featured in its center. That, she claimed, was non-negotiable so that she'd always carry with her a conduit for Wael to observe Eora through.
