This is a guide to all major choices in Avowed that can affect rewards and the ending you will get. Read on to know all of the game-changing decisions and their consequences!
Note: Major story choices are those that affect the world and the ending of Avowed. Not included in the below list are choices that only affect the outcomes / rewards of self-contained quests.

Attacking Ygwulf triggers a boss fight and you can loot the Blackwing Armor after killing him. Otherwise, the two other options skip the boss fight. You never see Ygwulf or his rebels again either way. Choice affects one of the ending "epilogue" screens you get. |

| Shadows of the Past Should You Destroy the Ruins or Sever the Adra? ① Destroy the ruins ② Sever the adra |
If you chose to accept Sapadal's power earlier in the quest, destroying the ruins will get you the godlike ability Scion of the Immortal Land, while severing the adra will get you Severed Branch. There's no difference though if you rejected Sapadal's power. Choice affects one of the ending "epilogue" screens you get. |
| Our Dreams Divide Us Still Should You Free Sapadal? ① I'm setting Sapadal free ② I'm going to the Garden to destroy Sapadal |
Telling Lodwyn that you'll set Sapadal free will trigger a boss fight where you'll have to defeat her. She still ends up as your game's final boss. Telling her that you'll destroy Sapadal skips her boss fight now, but she'll end up as your game's final boss. |
| Our Dreams Divide Us Still Should You Save or Doom Solace Keep? ① Open the Sluice Gates to Save Solace Keep ② Destroy the Winch Gears to Doom Solace Keep ☆ Whether Kostya lives or dies also affects the ending. |
Dooming Solace Keep makes the location inaccessible but moves important NPCs to a nearby camp. Note that not choosing either and simply leaving the area will result in dooming Solace Keep. Conversely, you can kill Kostya and still make either choice. Choice affects one of the ending "epilogue" screens you get. |
| The Heart of the Living Lands Should You Free Sapadal? ① Free Sapadal ② Destroy Sapadal ③ Become one with Sapadal |
Choice affects a few of the ending "epilogue" screens you get. Becoming one with Sapadal removes all ending "epilogue" screens regarding Sapadal. |
| The Siege of Paradis Should You Side With Lodwyn? ① It would be best if the Living Lands became an official colony of Aedyr. ② I think we should attempt a grefram. ③ I believe we should fight for a united Living Lands. ④ I must stand with Lodwyn and the Steel Garrote. |
Standing with Lodwyn makes all companions leave your party. The enemies you face in the final area are Paradisian soldiers instead of Aedyrian soldiers. Standing with Lodwyn lets you talk to Lodwyn in the final area. She will ask you to denounce Sapadal. Denouncing Sapadal skips the final boss fight. Refusing to denounce will still trigger the final boss fight. Choice affects majority of the ending "epilogue" screens you get. |

Freeing Ilora adds her to your party for the rest of the quest and later helps you in the Escape Plan side quest. If you leave Ilora, she will eventually free herself and fight you during the Steadman Ralke boss fight. |

Helping the Voice gives you the Dream Touch ability. Not helping the voice gives you the Godlike's Will ability. |
| Dawntreader Side Quest Should You Give Sargamis the Relic? ① Give him the relic ② Refuse to give him the relic ③ Give the relic to the embassy |
Giving Sargamis the relic opens up several other choices. You can convince him to either sacrifice himself, stop the experiment, kill you, or fight you. You can obtain the Last Light of Day from him in all choices that don’t result in your death. Not talking to Saragamis and going straight to the embassy prevents you from getting the unique weapon. |
| Dawntreader Side Quest Should You Put the Relic in the Statue or Destroy It? ① Put the relic in the statue ② Destroy the statue ③ Leave the statue alone |
Putting the relic in the statue gives you the option to fuse the Voice with it. Destroying the statue will prevent the Voice from accessing the statue. |
| Escape Plan Should You Report the Refugees? ① Report the Refugees ② Help the Refugees |
Reporting the reugess yields no rewards, while helping them out gives you a lot of rewards. |
| Precious Light Give the Luminous Adra to Captain Bardatto? ① Return the Luminous Adra to Captain Bardatto ② Give the Luminous Adra to Sapiento |
Giving the adra back to Captain Bardatto grants no rewards. While returning to Sapiento with the adra gives you The Fantastic Alembic as a reward. |
| Memory of the Deep Give the Meteorite to Josep or the Giftbearer? ① Give it to Josep ② Give to the Giftbearer |
Giving the Meteorite to Josep will get you the Chanter's Panpipes as a reward. Giving the Meteorite to the Giftbearer will not earn you any rewards other than peace of mind, since the revenants will be sent far away. |
| Steel Resolve Should You Kill Ranger Dorso? ① Kill Ranger Dorso ② Help Ranger Dorso ③ Let her go |
Killing Ranger Dorso allows you to get an Exceptional Dagger and your companions’ approval. Helping Ranger Dorso or letting her go will not be appreciated by your companions. |

Obtain the Thorn of Sapadal ability for accepting the offer. Rejecting the offer gives you the Godlike's Will ability. |

Choosing to execute Lieutenant Bodeg will make Ranger Tezallo kill him. Choosing to send him back to the embassy allows you to interrogate him about the Steel Garrote and Lodwyn. |

Obtain the Seeds of Vengeance ability for accepting the offer. Rejecting the offer gives you the Godlike's Will ability. |
| Fires in the Mine Should You Destroy the Mines? ① Stop Darle ② Destroy the Mines |
If you stop Darle, you will fight him and receive 900 Coins from the mining officials afterward. If Darle blows up the mines, the area will be inaccessible for re-entry and you will receive nothing from the mining officials. |
| A Path to the Garden Should You Kill Captain Aelfyr? ① Kill Captain Aelfyr ② Spare Captain Aelfyr |
If you kill Captain Aelfyr, you can get the Death Knight Gloves when looting her body. If you spare her, you will not engage in a boss battle against Captain Aelfyr and she will let you pass through the gatehouse peacefully. However, she will return later as an enemy. |

Giving the letter to Temerti allows you to build trust with her and informs everyone of the Steel Garrote's plans. |

If you give the Heart to Keipo, you can get the Umpara’s Spear in exchange for the Heart of Leviathan. If you give it to Hajime, Chiko will reward you for choosing not to give Keipo the heart with Stormdancer Set. If choose to keep the heart, Chiko will still reward you for choosing not to give Keipo the heart with Stormdancer Set. You get to keep the Heart of the Leviathan as an accessory. |
| Chorus of the Lost Should You Kill Razvan? ① Kill Razvan ② Leave Razvan |
If you kill Razvan, Marius will feel guilty. If you leave Razvan to rot in the Cave of Voices instead, Marius will be at peace with this decision. |
| Keep History Alive Should You Give the Book to Dolna? ① Give the book to Dolna ② Give the book to Grigore |
If you give Dolna the book, you will get 2,100 gold from Grigore for giving only one book back and for telling him the truth about Dolna. Dolna will also reward you later with 1,800 gold in Solace Keep. |
| A Cure for Rage Should You Help or Attack the Ogre? ① Help Grakohr ② Attack Grakohr |
If you help the Ogre, Grakohr will reward you with Stoneheart amulet for giving the ingredients to cure his illness. Grakohr will also help you in the final main story quest. Attacking the Ogre grants you the Limb-Taker that can be looted from the ogre's corpse. |
| Boundaries of Antiquity Should You Kill the Delemgan? ① Compromise with Raluka ② Kill the Delemgan |
Compromise a deal with Raluka not to kill the Delemgan to resolve the conflict peacefully. If you kill the Delemgan, the Pargrunen will take control of Slumbering Fields. |
| Don't Look Down Should You Kill Katoa? ① Convince Katoa and Haiako ② Attack Katoa and Haiako |
Convincing Katoa and Haiako to stop their plans does not give any rewards. If you kill Katoa and Haiako, you can loot the Exceptional Great Sword and Exceptional Leather Cuirass along with other items from their corpse. |
