A Path to the Garden Walkthrough

Enter Shatterscarp

Before starting the quest, make sure you're prepared, as you'll be traveling to a new region. Once you're ready, head to the Shatterscarp Gatehouse, located far north in the Grim Wetlands.

Talk to Aelfyr

At the Shatterscarp Gatehouse, you will be stopped by Captain Aelfyr. You can choose to remain cordial with her and gain passage to Shatterscarp or engage her in combat.

Should You Kill Captain Aelfyr?

Spare Aelfyr

After receiving Inquisitor Lodwyn's Missive, remain cordial in your conversation with Aelfyr and she will eventually allow you to pass through the gate without conflict.

However, sparing her will only delay your battle with her. During the Our Dreams Divide Us Still main quest, you will encounter her again and cannot escape her boss fight.

Kill Aelfyr

If you choose the [Attack] dialogue option after obtaining Inquisitor Lodwyn's Missive, you'll engage in a boss fight against Aelfyr. Defeat her and the Steel Garrote to continue.

Reach Thirdborn

#	Step-by-step Walkthrough
1	No matter what you decide with Captain Aelyf, head through the gate to enter Shatterscarp.
2	When you're ready, leave Party Camp and follow the path downhill. Beware of the Dreamthralls roaming the area. Be sure to loot any chests or treasures along the way for valuable items.
3	Continue forward until you reach an Adra Waystone just south of Sulfur Mines Basecamp. You can use it to set up camp if needed.
4	Head south until you arrive at Thirdborn Oasis, where you'll find another Adra Waystone nearby.
5	As you approach the entrance to Thirdborn, you'll encounter guards under attack by Dreamthralls. Help the guards in eliminating them.
6	After clearing the area of Dreamthralls, proceed to the entrance and speak with Nuran and Duchako. They will let you into Thirdborn afterward.

Optional: Learn What Happened in Eagle's Reach

Just before you head downhill after entering Shatterscarp, you can talk to Captain Wymgar and Rutaska to learn what happened in Eagle's Reach.

Speak with Yatzli

Once inside Thirdborn, make your way to Fleetmaster's Perch south of the settlement and talk to Yatzli. This will complete the quest.

A Path to the Garden Rewards

No Rewards

There are no rewards for completing A Path to the Garden. However, you can obtain various common weapons and items, along with XP as you progress through the quest.
