How to Throw the Coin Into the Pond

Stand Near The Mossy Rocks

After acquiring the coin quest item from the Patron outside the Watcher's Area and speaking to the Watcher during the An Untimely End quest, you can proceed to the pond outside her house.

When reaching the correct spot in the water near the mossy rocks, you will be given a prompt to throw the coin into the pond. To reach the interactable area, you actually have to swim in the pond since the prompt won't activate if you're on the shore.

Once the prompt shows, press the designated hotkey to throw the coin into the water and complete this optional objective.

Tradition After Visiting Watcher's House

The Perturbed Patron outside the Watcher's House will hand you this coin and inform you that it is apparently a tradition in the area to throw a coin into the Watcher's Pond as a way to express gratitude for the Watcher's readings.

Does Not Seem to Affect Gameplay

Despite it being an action that the player can take during the quest, it seems to be done for role-playing purposes and does not actually affect any aspect of gameplay.
