Upon arriving in Galawain's Tusks region, you will encounter Warden Radut in Southern Warden Tower. Speak to him to know the problem with the Wardens that turned into bandits stealing their supplies and not doing their duty. Warden Radut will ask you for help on communicating and dealing with Amelia.
Follow the quest marker to Amalia's camp in Twinedwood. Speak to Amalia and confront her about Warden Radut's sending you over to deal with them. She will mention her camps, and then you can proceed to claim their banners.
You can choose to head to the camp and kill them while obtaining the banners or you can choose to resolve their conflict by not killing any Warden Outcasts.
Choices | |
---|---|
Do not kill the Outcasts | Kill the Outcasts |
You can either utilize stealth or run from fighting them if you decide not to kill them while acquiring the banner.
Running away makes it simpler if you have the Severed Branch godlike ability, but it may be helpful to take a stealthy approach when entering the camps to make sure that your companions don't engage in fights.
Take note that some players may experience a bug when doing this objective. Despite not killing anyone and finishing the quest, there is a chance that you will be unable to obtain the reward from Amalia due to the bug.
Amalia will be upset with you later if you enter their camps and choose to kill them to obtain the banners. If you kill them, Amalia might stop trusting you to settle their conflict with the Wardens.
However, this option may be the only way to complete the quest and obtain all rewards if you encounter the bug from the nonviolent route.
Head to the Outcast Cave Camp and locate the banner. You will be greeted with the Warden Outcasts. Go towards the center of the camp and interact with the banner to acquire it in your Inventory.
Travel to the Outcast Tower Camp and you'll spot the banner on the top of the tower. You can use the Severed Branch godlike ability to run faster and jump on any obstacles.
You need to reach the top by jumping and climbing the ruins, then obtain the banner by interacting with it.
After getting both banners from the outcast camps, return to Amalia's Outcast Camp and show Amalia that you have the banners with you.
Amalia will be talking to you regarding their situation and how they can be at peace with the Wardens.
If you never killed the outcasts in the camp, she will let you have the Berserker Scale armor from the chest after your conversation. This outcome may be bugged for some users as they cannot open the chest without the key.
However, if you did kill the bandits in the camps, you can attack her then loot the Outcast Chest Key from her corpse to get the Berserker Scale armor.
Go back to the Southern Warden Tower then talk to Radut. Report what happened and how you attempted to resolve their conflict. Despite the outcome of how you dealt with Amalia, he will be giving you the Ashfall's Legacy ring.
Once you complete Wardens Warding, Warden Radut will reward you for helping him with Ashfall's Legacy which is a ring accessory that you can equip. It grants +10% Attack Damage and +20% Critical Hit Damage with pistols and arquebuses.
You can also acquire the Berserker Scale armor from the Outcast chest after the Parley with Amalia. Whether you gain her trust or decide to attack her, you'll still get this reward by opening the chest in their camp.
