Backwards Dodge

To dodge backward, move back and press your jump bind (Space Bar/A). This dodge is ideal for getting out of a cleaving horizontal strike or area-of-effect abilities.

List of Controls

Side Dodge

To dodge to the side, move laterally and press your jump bind. The side dodge is ideal for dodging projectiles such as arrows, or dodging charging melee attackers.

You Cannot Dodge While Moving Forward

Moving forward and pressing your jump bind will simply make you jump forward or do parkour. Keep this in mind so as to not accidentally jump into your enemy's attacks in combat.

How to Get Better Dodges

Get the Evade Ability

The Evade ability in the Ranger tree makes your dodges cost less stamina, allowing you to dodge more frequently in combat and keep up the pace before regenerating.

How to Increase Stamina

Equip Dodge Boosting Items

Certain items such as the Vailian Boots and Tranton Family Greaves increase dodge distance. Look for items that have dodge distance or stamina bonuses and enchantments to optimize your dodging.
