| Facial Features | Split between masculine and feminine. You can also adjust your head parts like mouth, brows, ears, eyes, etc. You can also have add-ons like scars. |
| Body Types | You can select between Elven race or Human race. |
| Skin Tone | You can adjust the skin tone of your character to match your preference. |
| Hair | You can choose between different types of hair styles and also what facial hair you want for your character. |
| Godlike Features | Godlike features include unique facial features, hair, glowing eyes, and ears to distinguish the main character from mortals. |
You can also pick between different voices and just like most modern games with customization, you can also pick pronouns for your character.
In Avowed, your backstory will always be a Godlike envoy sent by the Aedyr Emperor to check out the Living Lands.
However, backgrounds are a more specific type of background that can affect your dialogue choices and also your starting equipment. Here are the five backgrounds players can choose for their character:
