Don't Look Down can be unlocked in the Shatterscarp region by talking to Wounded Aedyran in Tago's Tower or by talking to Moapo located at the entrance of Shark's Teeth.

Convince them | Attack Katoa and Haiako |
Upon arriving at Tago's Tower, you'll encounter a Wounded Aedyran asking for help after being injured due to a trap on the tower's door. You can heal him using your godlike ability or by giving him a potion.
After healing him, you need to find a way inside the tower to confront the ones behind the traps. You cannot proceed using the door because it’s blocked off. You need to go through the side by heading to the other passage.
Use the wooden platforms outside the tower to make your way inside. Once you've reached the metal bar, use a frost/ice ability or weapon to destroy it. Head inside with caution as there are traps everywhere. You can slowly approach them to disarm.
Once you have reached inside the tower, check the surroundings for clues and interact with the trap device lever to disarm all of the traps. Head up to the top of the tower by using the platforms inside and the wooden ceiling above. You'll hear the voices of the trappers and confront them by reaching the highest point of the tower.
As you confront the trappers, you'll discover Katoa and Haiako's plans on eliminating Aedyrans. You will have an option between convincing them or attacking them during this side quest.
Choices | |
---|---|
Convince Them | Attack Them |
If you want to handle this peacefully, you can convince them to stop their plans by asking Kai for help on getting through to them. You can also talk to them and show trust to each other.
You can also tell Katoa and Haiako that you cleared out the fire blights in Scaedclef if you complete That Which Remains side quest beforehand. This will convince them to back out of their plan and end this side quest peacefully.
That Which Remains Walkthrough
If you choose to attack them instead of talking, prepare to attack Katoa and Haiako. Defeating them grants you an Exceptional Great Sword and Exceptional Leather Cuirass that can be looted from their corpse.
Completing this side quest grants you 3,330 XP. If you complete Don't Look Down without fighting Katoa and Haiako, they will let you go and decide to trust you.
After completing this side quest, you can roam around the top of the tower. There is a chest containing the Thirdborn Brigandine Jack which is a Unique Heavy armor.
If you choose to attack Katoa and Haiako and defeat them in battle, you can obtain an Exceptional Great Sword and Exceptional Leather Cuirass.
