Should You Put the Relic in the Statue or Destroy It?

Avowed - Put the Relic on Statue or Destroy It

Put the relic into the Eothas statue for better outcomes in Avowed. Read on to see if you should put the relic in the statue, give the Voice the statue, destroy the statue, or leave the statue alone.

Eothas Statue Outcomes

Choice Result
Put the Relic on the Statue Offer your Soul: If you put the relic on the statue and offer your soul to the experiment, you will die but earn the achievement: Get in the Statue, Envoy.
Fuse the Voice: If you kill Sargamis at any point of the quest, the Voice will speak to you asking to fuse her with the statue. It affects the story later in the game.
Destroy the Statue If you overload the three Essence Generators in the area to destroy the statue, a boss fight with Sargamis will occur if you hadn't killed him beforehand nor convinced him to stop the experiment.
Leave the Statue You can choose to leave the statue alone and not deal with Sargamis' experiment. No additional rewards will be given to you by doing this.

An optional objective during Dawntreader will activate if you retrieve the Splinter of Eothas.

In this objective, you are tasked to talk to Oracle Sargamis and to put the relic on the statue. You can either put the splinter and fuse The Voice with it, destroy the statue, or ignore the objective completely.

Dawntreader Walkthrough

Should You Put the Relic in the Statue or Destroy It?

Put the Relic in the Statue

Putting the relic in in the Eothas statue has many different outcomes depending on the dialogue choices you make. The experiment will fail and Sargamis will ask to sacrifice a soul during it.

This is generally the better choice out of everything, as you can get more rewards when choosing this option.

Should You Give Sargamis the Relic?

Give the Voice the Statue

After placing the relic in the statue, you can either kill Sargamis, convince him to stop, or have him offer his soul to the Eothas statue. The best choice is to convince him to stop, but you can do whichever you prefer.

Once he is dead or has given up, interact with the Adra nearby, and The Voice will tell you that she wants to fuse with the Eothas statue. Choosing to fuse her with the Eothas statue will make her happy and will have an impact later in the game's story.

Additionally, you can also get the unique sword Last Light of Day from Sargamis.

Sacrificing Your Soul

No doubt the worst option, you can choose to sacrifice your soul during this part which would mean killing you and resulting into a game over. However, you will gain the achievement Get in the Statue, Envoy.

How to Destroy the Statue

You can also choose to destroy the Eothas statue by overloading the three Essence Generators with Electric Lily Seeds or any electricity-producing weapons.

Doing this will cause Sargamis to turn aggressive and fight if you haven't fought Sargamis beforehand or haven't talked him out of the experiment. This choice prevents the Voice from having access to the statue.

# Essence Generator Locations
1
The first generator is located directly to the right of the Eothas statue, behind the destroyable plank.
2
The second generator is located to the left of the Eothas statue. Just follow the path until you see a destroyable plank where the generator is located.
3
The third generator is located at the top of the Eothas statue and look to the platform above the lever.
