Help Grakohr | You will get Stoneheart amulet for giving the ingredients to cure his illness. Grakohr will help you in the final main story quest. |
Attack Grakohr | Loot the Limb-Taker from the ogre's corpse. |
During the A Cure for Rage side quest, you will meet Grakohr at the Grakohr's Cave making Gilyn his hostage. You can choose to help the ogre find the cure for his illness or you can also attack Grakohr.
It's better to help Grakohr find the cure, rather than to attack him, even if it means you'll have a longer quest.
If you help him, Grakohr will reward you for giving him the cure with Stoneheart which allows you to summon a Ruinous Blight to fight with you. The Ruinous Blight is one of the better summons in the game.
Additionally, if you help Grakohr, he will appear as a semi-companion during the final main quest The Siege of Paradis. He will fight alongside you (though you can't control him like your other companions) fighting through the main level and during the final boss battle.
It's noteworthy as well that Grakohr will fight alongside you no matter what you choice you make during the ending, as there is one ending choice that'll make all your companions leave you before the final battle. This doesn't affect Grakohr, if you helped him during A Cure for Rage.
Attacking Grakohr grants you the Limb-Taker that can be acquired from his corpse after defeating him. It also allows you to finish the quest faster, as A Cure for Rage side quest will end immediately after speaking with Gilyn.
It's alright to miss this unique weapon, even if you're a Great Axe user, since its enchantments just buff Bleed, which won't be all that useful in the endgame (final part of Galawain's Tusks and in The Garden), since most of the enemies you fight in these levels will be skeletons, phantoms, or machines that are immune to Bleed.
