Seven Strivings is by far the best Great Axe because of the passive movement speed it can provide. The slight additional critical hit chance is also a nice bonus. In addition, players may obtain Seven Strivings as early as Dawnshore.
Though Emerald Splitter is useful mostly in Emerald Stair where you fight Primordials, Seven Strivings is better for majority of all the areas you will encounter.
The Limb-Taker, despite being found in Galawain's Tusks in the late-game, is not so helpful because it only boosts Bleed Accumulation. Many of the enemies in the late game, such as skeletons and phantoms, are not affected by Bleed.
