Should You Give the Book to Dolna?
Giving the Book of the Before to Dolna grants more rewards in Avowed. Find out what is the best choice in Keep History Alive, is it either to give the Book of the Before to Grigore or give the Book of the Before to Dolna?

During the Keep History Alive side quest, you will encounter Dolna inside the library after going through the Living Archives Courtyard. Talk to her before you get inside the library for the Book of the Before.
You can choose to give the Book of the Before to Dolna as she desperately pleads you for it or you can return both of the books to Grigore who was the quest giver.

If you decide to give the Book of the Before to Dolna, you can ask her for more information on why she needed the Book of the Before or have her explain the list that you have also found from the library.
After choosing to give her the book, she will only be grateful to you and will ask you to meet again once you're back in Solace Keep.
Get the Burned Bounty List
You can also obtain the Burned Bounty List, located on the second floor of the library, directly in front of the fireplace. You can grab this item from the same room as the Book of the Before.
Return to Dolna after picking up the list and ask her about the list that you just found. She will ask you to return the list to her, and if you do, you will receive 1,800 gold in exchange for the list alone.
Return to Grigore
Go back to Grigore and giving both the books or even only one book back will still reward you with 2,100 gold for helping him recover the books.
Additional Rewards after Keep History Alive
You can find Dolna again inside the Solace Keep, near Quartermaster Yorgu's shop only if you decide to give her the bounty list and the Book of the Before, then tell Grigore the truth about the book.
You can talk about your previous encounter at the monastery, and she will reward you with 1,800 gold for helping her.

Anonymous 7 monthsYou can also get 1800 additional gold even if you will give both books and list to Grigore. After they imprison Dolna go to the outpost tower near the Solace keep and the guard inside give you the 1800 gold for help them. So you should decide who you will give the book by the game play if you are pro Aedyr give the book to Dolna otherwise give both books and the list to Grigore the price is same.

Depending on your narrative playstyle, you can help Lödwyn indirectly by giving the book to Dolna for an extra 1800 gold or inadvertently hinder her by handing the book over to Elder Grigore.
