Bring Exceptional Quality Gear

Avowed Exceptional Weapon

When fighting the Delemgan Queen, equipping yourself with at least an Exceptional Quality Weapon or Armor piece can help in making sure that you can dish out damage quicker or survive longer in this boss fight.

Weapons such as the Last Light of Day and the Woodman's Labor are your go-tos here due to the former's Fire damage bonus and healing, and the latter's raw damage and combos.

How to Upgrade Weapons and Armor

Get CC for Marius and Second Wind for Kai

Avowed Companion Skills

The Delemgan Queen fight will have multiple phases, each with an array of different enemies. To better prepare against the tide of enemies, you can prep your Companions' abilities before the fight in order to make them more useful.

For Marius, respec to get Binding Roots then get its Grasping Roots and Constricting Roots upgrades for an AoE crowd control (CC) ability and better stun buildup. For Kai, make sure you have a taunt (either Fire and Ire or Leap of Daring) as well as Second Wind.

How to Level Up Companions

Focus Down Sporelings in Phases 1 and 2

During the fight, there will be plenty of Acid and Shock Sporelings that will hit you with multiple Status Effects. These enemies can quickly chip down your health if left unchecked, so prioritize killing them during the fight.

Use Kai to Taunt Delemgan Tempests

Delemgan Tempests are ranged AoE units that will deal massive damage to you if left unchecked. While dealing with the Sporelings, use Kai's Fire and Ire to keep the Tempests occupied while you thin out the herd, kill the Tempests before the next wave spawns

Use Binding Roots on the Melee Units

For Melee units such as the Delemgan with the Shield, the Brown Bears, and the Queen herself, you can use Marius' Binding Roots to lock them in place while you focus down the rest of the enemies. It'll always be best to leave melee units last since their attacks are easier to block or dodge.

Equip the White Key Cameo Before Reviving Allies

Avowed White Key Cameo

The White Key Cameo allows you to restore 50% of your HP upon ally revival, making this an incredibly potent accessory to bring along. Make sure you swap to this amulet before you revive your ally so that you get free healing.

If you have access to Dream Touch, make sure you only use it when one or both allies go down. This heal can revive downed allies, so it'll be useful in a pinch to prevent a wipe during the boss fight.

Focus on Killing the Grovetender in Phase 3

During Phase 3, when the Delemgan Queen joins the fight, there will be a Delemgan Grovetender that will attack you from afar with their summons.

Use Binding Roots on the Queen to keep her pinned then locate the Grovetender and focus them down to remove both them and their summons from the field.

Leave the Delemgan Queen for Last

At this point, there will only be a handful of Sporelings and the Queen left, allowing you to freely kite her back and forth without much interruption from the Sporelings.

You can use a combination of Binding Roots and Fire and Ire to build up stun while slowly chipping away at her health.

How to Skip the Delemgan Queen Boss Fight

Run Past All Enemies And Hide In The Bushes

To skip the Demelgan Queen fight, you just have to not kill any enemies in the area after crossing the bridge with the Fast Travel Beacon (the area where fast travel is prohibited).

You can just run straight through the area, then instead of heading through the front entrance of the Queen's area, run off to the side and crouch in the tall grass until the enemies de-aggro.

Peaceful Exchange With The Queen

Doing the above successfully will trigger a peaceful conversation with the Queen where she just gives you the heart.
