Time Your Block as the Enemy Attack Lands

As soon as you see the enemy start its attack animation, be ready to hit your block button (Right Click / LT). You must hit the button as soon as their attack is going to hit you in order to land a successful parry.

Parries are Only Possible if You Can Block

You can only parry if your main or off-hand weapon can block. This means, parrying is possible while using a shield, a single one-handed weapon, or a two-handed weapon. Dual wielding or using an off-hand item that isn’t a shield, like a grimoire or a pistol, prevents parrying and blocking.

Parry Effects

Deals Massive Stun Damage

Successfully parrying an attack deals a large amount of stun to the attacker, leaving them staggered or very close to it. This leaves them open for a high-damaging combo attack.

You Do Not Lose Health or Stamina

Perfect parries completely negate any potential Stamina or Health loss, making this a perfect bolster to your melee defense and offense.
