There are three Marius endings in Avowed that you can unlock depending on your actions and dialogue choices in the game. Learn about all of Marius’s endings, as well as what you need to do in order to unlock them.

1	With many of his anxieties and lifelong fears addressed, Marius now feels very differently than he did when he first met the envoy. Still far from comfortable in the wilds than among people, he nonetheless finds that his worries about the unknown were merely self-protection against the traumas of his childhood. Armed with this knowledge, he finds himself more capable of living in civilization and far less fearfull of his home in Galawain's Tusks. With Solace gone, however, Marius has a chance to reconcile with his people. Outside of few travelers here and there, his connection with the Wardens is completely lost. Unlock Condition: ① Complete Chorus of the Lost ② Doom Solace Keep ③ Talk to Marius during Pulling Back the Veil, and then talk to him at a party camp afterwards.
2	With many of his anxieties and lifelong fears addressed, Marius now feels very differently than he did when he first met the envoy. Still far from comfortable in the wilds than among people, he nonetheless finds that his worries about the unknown were merely self-protection against the traumas of his childhood. Armed with this knowledge, he finds himself more capable of living in civilization and far less fearfull of his home in Galawain's Tusks. While he never regains his former place as a Warden of Solace, he spends his time traveling between Solace and Thirdborn, acting as a stubborn ambassador between the two. Unlock Condition: ① Complete Chorus of the Lost ② Kill Kostya and save Solace Keep ③ Talk to Marius during Pulling Back the Veil, and then talk to him at a party camp afterwards.
3	With his travels alongside the envoy complete, Marius is left directionless once again. Rather than disappearing into his cups, however, Marius leans on his time among his companions to give him the strength to reenter society and find comfort in civilization. He establishes a route between Paradis and Thirdborn, guiding travelers between the two in return for money and supplies. And while he has a reputation for being aloof, he joins the campfires from time to time, sharing stories of his time with the envoy that most travelers believe are completely made up. Unlock Condition: This ending is obtained if you don't do any of the above actions to trigger Marius's other endings.

How to Unlock Marius Endings

Complete Chorus of the Lost

To unlock most of Marius’s endings, you will need to do his companion quest, Chorus of the Lost.

You can do this quest by going to the Lost Village at Galawain’s Tusks. Completing this quest will allow Marius to process most of his childhood trauma.

Do Marius’s Companion Moment

You also need to complete Marius’s companion moment at the Garden during the Pulling Back the Veil main quest.

Marius will notice a scene similar to the ritual site you found during his companion quest, and his best friend, Iancu, will appear. Make sure to talk to Marius here so that he can find further closure with his friend.

After completing Marius’s section of Pulling Back the Veil, you can talk to him at any party camp to help him process his trauma one last time.

Ending Depends on Solace Keep Choice

Your choice to either kill Kostya and save Solace Keep or let Kostya live but doom Solace Keep during Our Dreams Divide Us Still can affect the ending you get for Marius.

However, if you don’t do his companion quest or talk to him at the Garden, your Solace Keep choice will not make a difference.
