How to Unlock Keep History Alive

Keep History Alive can be unlocked in the Galawain's Tusks region by talking to Novice Bojan in Soreena's Mercy.

Keep History Alive Walkthrough

Talk to Novice Bojan

When you arrive at Soreena's Mercy in Galawain's Tusks, you will encounter Novice Bojan, who is requesting assistance because the monks at the Living Archives are facing a problem.

Speak to Elder Grigore

Go to the Ash Forest in the northwest then head to the Living Archives, and look for Elder Grigore. Speak with Grigore to find out about what's happening in the monastery, and he will ask you to bring back the books.

Optional: Eliminate Every Dreamthrall at the Monastery

When you enter the Monastery, you will encounter Dreamthrall enemies and will have an optional objective in addition to retrieving the books.

You can eliminate all Dreamthralls so that the monks can return safely inside once you've cleared their area of any enemies.

Retrieve the Book of Oaths

#	Book of Oaths Walkthrough
1	To enter the monastery, go through the wooden platforms outside and destroy the wooden planks to reach the upper floor.
2	You have to defeat enemies on each floor of the monastery to unlock the door leading to the parapet, which is where the Book of Oaths is located.
3	Continue to the monastery's floors until you find the Living Archives Courtyard Key, which will allow you to access the second book. The courtyard door can be found on the monastery's bottom floor. .

Recover the Book of the Before

#	Book of the Before Walkthrough
1	Enter the Courtyard by unlocking the door, then defeat the Dreamthalls to enter the Library. Novice Dolna will then ask you to give her the Book of the Before..
2	Enter the library and, before you go down, walk through the second floor to interact with the quest item in front of the fireplace. You'll discover that Novice Dolna was stealing for reasons related to the bounty list.
3	You may jump down on the bookcases once you've defeated the enemies and investigated the library's second floor. Get the Book of the Before from the table located in the center of the first floor.

Optional: Return the Book of the Before to Novice Dolna

As you return to the courtyard with the Book of the Before, Dolna is going to call out for you to give her the book.

You can speak with her and ask her why she demands the Book of the Before. You can either give the Book of the Before to her or go back to Elder Grigore with the books.

Should You Give the Book to Dolna?

Return to Elder Grigore

Going back to Grigore and returning both books or even just one will still grant you a gold reward for helping him get it back and that completes this side quest.
