Upgrade Materials are responsible from leveling a weapon or piece of equipment to the next level, boosting its overall innate stats and essentially making the weapon more effective all-around.

Enchanting Materials

Avowed - Upgrade Enchantments for Weapons

Enchanting Materials, on the other hand, are items that can be used to give weapons and equipment specific effects that allow them to excel at a certain type of offense or defense.

These also include different buffs and boons that specialize the equipment for certain scenarios.
