How to Get Lockpicks

Can be Bought from Merchants

Merchant Lockpick

Lockpicks can be bought for 15 coins (Copper Skeyt) each. Players can buy out all lockpicks from Merchants encountered, especially to prepare for chests that require a lot of lockpicks to unlock. Merchants in late game regions may sell these for 20 coins.

Can Be Found as Loot

Lockpick Loot

Lockpicks may be obtained as randoom loot by opening backpacks and chests found all around the map. However, do note that loot is randomized. If you reload your save after dying and re-loot a chest or backpack, what you get may not be the same.

Defeated enemies will also have a chance to drop lockpicks. Check your minimap for nearby corpses (marked by an X) and loot them before leaving.

How to Use Lockpicks

Hold F on PC or X on Controller
How to Lockpick
Hold F Key on PC
Hold X Key on Xbox Controller

To lockpick, hold the F Key on PC or hold X on Controller when you encounter a pickable chest, lockbox, or door. Releasing the input while the lockpicking animation is ongoing will reset the lockpicking.
