Escape Plan is a side quest from the Dawnshore region in Avowed. Read on for an Escape Plan walkthrough and learn its location, how to unlock it, and the rewards for completing this quest.

Talk to Leoflaed to Start the Quest

To start Escape Plan, talk to Leoflaed in the Shantytown. They are located in a room on the second floor. To get up there, climb up a ladder in the eastern part of town.

You can also start the quest by talking to Remei in Southern Paradis before talking to Leoflaed and Glaedwine.

Acquire Ondra's Kiss

Head towards The Rise, and follow the quest marker on to where the quest item is located but proceed with caution as you head towards the area as there are Tier 2 enemies nearby, but none should be on the direct path leading from Paradis to the quest item. Upon reaching the cliff, you will get Ondra's Kiss.

Acquire the Land Deeds

Head to the Pearl District in Paradis and obtain the Thirdborn Land Deeds quest item from Meiko's body.

Bring the Supplies to the Refugees

Now that you have the supplies, bring them to the refugees. The couple is in the same room in Shantytown from when you first started the quest.

Confront the Smugglers or Report the Refugees to Captain Aelfyr

Leoflaed mentions that the smugglers who them moved to shantytown has increased the payment after discovering they were Aedyran. Head to the smuggler's place and deal with them or give the smugglers' fee.

If you head to the smugglers' area and Ilora is not with the smugglers, Captain Soldis will ask about a Paradisan woman named Ilora. You can choose to lie about it, but they will still ask you to pay for the deal between Leoflaed and Glaedwine.

If you choose to attack the smugglers because of the payment, it will lead to a battle between them, and you must be prepared to combat against them. Attacking the smugglers may be the best choice as they are asking for money, which can be a bit difficult to acquire this early in the game.

Should You Free Ilora?

This choice is the safest and cheapest, and it allows you to show appreciation for Ilora.

If you chose to free Ilora in Fort Northreach during On Strange Shores, she will be here to convince her friend, Captain Soldis, to smuggle Leoflaed and Glaedwine out for free.

If you still decide to attack the smugglers despite Ilora being there, a battle is going to occur, and you must be prepared to fight them.

[Optional]: Report the Refugees to Captain Aelfyr

This choice is not recommended, as your companion, Kai will oppose it, and the rewards for choosing this option will be less. Siding with Captain Aelfyr may affect the story later.

Report to Leoflaed

After dealing with the smugglers, or if you choose to report them, head back to Shantytown and speak with Leoflaed. Report what happened with the situation and this completes this side quest.

Escape Plan can be unlocked in the Dawnshore region by talking to Remei Gardiola in Southern Paradis, near Liviana’s Clinic, or by talking to Leoflaed in the shantytown.

Once you complete Escape Plan, Leoflaed will reward you for helping them gather the supplies and deal with the smugglers with 10x Softwood Branch, 10x Pelt, 2x Paradisan Ladder, and 10x Iron Chunk which will be added to the Inventory.
