The higher ranks of Missile Salvo increase the power and efficacy but will remain locked until you reach the required level to unlock it.

Get a Grimoire to Cast it without it Unlocked

Get a Grimoire with the Missile Salvo ability to cast it even if it's not yet unlocked from the Wizard Ability Tree. However, you will still need to unlock the required Grimoire Mastery Rank (if there's any) to cast the ability.

Also, if you unlock this ability and have a Grimoire, it will become stronger when cast.

How to Unlock Missile Salvo

Reach Level 10 to Unlock

You must reach Level 10 to unlock the base rank of Missile Salvo in the Wizard Ability Tree. You can then spend Ability Points to activate and upgrade it once you reach the level requirement.
