How to Get Vesrik’s Grimoire
Pick Up from a Cave near Wavesculpt Hollow
Vesrik's Grimoire is located in a Cave west of Wavesculpt Hollow, in the Emerald Stair region, south of the Logging Camp.
To reach the Cave, head west from the shore at Wavesculpt Hollow.
Freeze the Water to reach the Cave

| 1 |  Head to the shore, and you'll see an opening. |
| 2 |  Freeze the water to create a platform. Hit the Eye of Rymrgand with a ranged weapon to make it fall and form a platform. If you don’t have a ranged weapon, use an Eye of Rymrgand or freeze the water with Drawn in Winter. |
| 3 |  Continue on until you reach the cave. |
| 4 |  Once you reach the endpoint, climb up the ledge. Vesrik's Grimoire should be on a corpse to your right. |

Cost: 10 Essence Cooldown: 15 seconds Invokes a powerful arcane shield for 20 seconds that makes your spell casting Uninterruptable and increases your Damage Reduction by 25%. |
 Bristling Frost
|
Cost: 40 Essence Cooldown: 20 seconds The caster is surrounded by a protective frost that increases Damage Reduction by 25% and deals Frost Accumulation to enemy melee attackers. Requires Grimoire Mastery Rank 1 |
 Ring of Fire
|
Cost: 75 Essence Cooldown: 20 seconds The caster is surrounded by a protective flame that increases Damage Reduction by 50% and deals Fire Accumulation to enemy melee attackers. Requires Grimoire Mastery Rank 2 |
Equip Grimoires in the off-hand slot to gain access to its innate abilities. Spells unlocked within the Wizard tree increase in potency when used via a Grimoire.
Note that some spells require the Grimoire Mastery passive at a certain rank to use.

Weapons can be upgraded in the Workbench, requiring Metal or Wood and Herbs of equal rarity to do so. Upgrading Weapons increases its stats, raising its effectiveness in combat.

| While most wizards prefer to keep their enemies at a distance to safely bombard them with destructive magics, this is not a universal truth. Through the use of conjured weapons and magical protection, some wizards instead wade into the melee to lay waste to their foes. Vesrik was one such wizard. He may have gone on to do great things to further the art of the battlemage, but his love for the fight was stronger than any desire to push the boundaries of the arcane. When he inevitably met a violent end in combat, he did so with a smile on his lips. | |
