Mine Pure Quartz in Astral Mountains
Around the northern part of the map, you'll find the Astral Mountains which offer Pure Quartz. This area can get very cold, so you'll need to wear cold resistant gear to avoid dying.

To farm Pure Quartz, it's recommended to build a base around the area. Make sure you have Pals with at least Mining Level 3 and Transporting. You'll know you've found Pure Quartz as it's fairly shiny.

There are various good spots to establish an automated Pure Quartz mining base; this location is especially recommended due to the other 2 Ore deposits that are more valuable since they are used for many more crafts than Pure Quartz.

Place Pals that Can Automate the Mining Process
The only roles necessary in this base are Mining and Transporting the Pure Quartz and Planting, Gathering, and Watering to grow food for the Pals to eat continually.
Generating Electricity and Handiwork Pals are optional but are great additions if you're planning on crafting items here on assembly lines.

Place Chests Near Mining Nodes
Place storage chests near the mining nodes to minimize the Tranporting Pals' travel time.
Place the Feed Box and Berry Plantation in the Middle
To minimize the Transporting Pals' travel time from the farm to the Feed Box, place the Feed Box and the Berry Plantation close to each other.
Centering the Feedbox and Berry Plantation makes it accessible to all Pals and can prevent bugs in pathing.
Place the Bed and Hot Spring in the Corner
Beds and Hot Springs are the structures that the Pals interact with the least and, therefore, can be placed in the outer edges of the base.
