Hidden IV Stat Values for Pals

IVs are hidden stats each Pal has for each stat that randomizes their HP, Atk, and Def to a specific range. Having 0 IV for a stat means the Pal gets a 0% bonus, while having the maximum 100 IV gives a 30% bonus to the respective stat.

For example, if two Lamballs have the same passives and buffs, the Lamball with the higher HP IV will always have a higher HP pool.

A Pal's IVs cannot be altered but can be used to influence its child's IVs through breeding. Therefore, breeding is an excellent option to pass a parent's high IV and favorable Passive Skills to obtain a Pal with the highest IVs possible with the preferred Passive Skills.

Does Not Spawn in the Map By Itself

Paladius does not spawn in any area on the map in the overworld by itself, regardless of whether it is day or night. This Pal can be obtained by hatching Eggs produced by certain Pals or via other means.

Hatch from Huge Common Egg

Palworld - Htaching Eggs
Paladius can be hatched from a Huge Common Egg.

Pal eggs can be found spread across the islands as interactable objects that can be picked up.

They can also be obtained through breeding Pals together in a Breeding Farm. Once you have an egg, place it in an Egg Incubator and wait for it to hatch.

Tips to Defeat Paladius

Be Well Equipped for the Fight

Best Weapons and Equipment

Equipment Details
Palworld - Rocket Launcher Weapon Rocket Launcher ・Deals a lot of damage and knocks enemies down, stunning them and preventing them from retaliating against you.
・Be careful while reloading as it takes a while to load the next rocket.
・Around 100 Rockets should be enough.
Palworld - Assault Rifle Weapon Assault Rifle ・Deals a lot of damage; however, it does not deal damage in an area, unlike the Rocket Launcher.
・Do headshots for bonus damage.
・Bring around 1000 Assault Rifle Ammo.
Palworld - Cold Resistant Pal Metal Armor Cold Resistant Pal Metal Armor ・The desert areas are hot during the day but cold at night. Bring both heat and cold-resistant armors to negate these effects.
・The legendary duo can deal a lot of unavoidable damage as they outnumber you. This is why it is recommended to use the Pal Metal armor.
Palworld - Heat Resistant Pal Metal Armor Heat Resistant Pal Metal Armor
Palworld - Hyper Shield Hyper Shield ・Equip the Hyper Shield to be able to increase survivability.
・Shields regenerate quickly when not hit, making it a good option in longer fights.

Legendary Sphere is Recommended

Item Materials
Palworld - Legendary Sphere Icon Legendary Sphere

The Legendary Pals naturally have low catch rates due to their high levels. For the best chances to capture Paladius, a Legendary Sphere is recommended. To increase the chances of capturing Legendary Pals, you can upgrade your catch rate at Statue of Powers using Lifmunk Effigies.

How to Get Legendary Sphere

Bring Dark Element Pals

Pal Details
Palworld - Frostallion Noct Frostallion Noct ・Frostallion Noct's Partner Skill, Black Steed, converts the player's attacks to Dark element when mounted.
・Additionally, the player and Frostallion Noct's Dark element damage also increases while mounted.
・Can only be obtained by breeding Frostallion and Helzephyr.
Palworld - Shadowbeak Shadowbeak ・Shadowbeak's Partner Skill, Modified DNA, increases the player and Shadowbeak's Dark element damage while mounted.
Palworld - Hoocrates Hoocrates ・While Hoocrates is in your party, it increases all of your Dark element Pal's Attack stat thanks to its Partner Skill, Dark Knowledge.

Though any Pal with good stats and Active Skills can defeat Paladius, the Pals above are especially recommended. Frostallion Noct and Shadowbeak are the best offensive Pal options.

At the same time, Hoocrates is an excellent support Pal to boost any of your Dark Pal's damage.

List of Dark Element Type Pals

Bring both Heat and Cold Resistant Equipment

Palworld - Bring both Heat and Cold Resistant Equipment
The Dessicated Desert can be too cold or too hot depending on the time of the day. It will be best to bring heat and cold-resistant gear in case the temperature changes mid-fight.

Fight Paladius and Necromus at Night to Fight them One at a Time

Palworld - Fight Paladius and Necromus at Night
Though Necromus is nocturnal and thus doesn't sleep at night, Paladius is not. To have an easier time battling this legendary duo, initiate the battle at night when Paladius is sleeping so you can fight Necromus first, then Paladius afterward.

Day and Night Cycle

Bring Powerful Dark and Dragon Element Pals

Palworld - Bring a Powerful Dark Element Pal
As Paladius fights alongside Necromus, we recommend bringing a powerful Dark element Pal to counter Paladius and a Dragon Element Pal to deal with Necromus.

Element Type Chart Matchups Explained

Use the Rocket Launcher to Stun

The Rocket Launcher is not only a powerful weapon, but it also briefly stuns enemies hit in the explosion. Make sure to bring enough ammo to deal with both Necromus and Paladius.

How to Craft Rocket Launcher and Stats

Avoid Shooting Paladius when it Blocks with its Shield

Palworld - Avoid Shooting Paladius when it Blocks

Paladius will often bring its shield up and block any damage that hits its shield, dealing reduced damage. Avoid shooting into its shield so as not to waste ammo.

im glad im not the only one that noticed that i got my necromus and turned to try and get paladius only to see it was gone i then got out of spawn range and went back thinking it was a glitch and both pals were back but i had used all my ammo on lowering BOTH of their healths so honestly i put getting paladius on hold due to if one is defeated or caught the other disappears

1 Anonymousabout 1 month

if you defeat Necromus first and leave Paladius will also be counted as defeated and wont spawn until later
