Last Light of Day is obtained by completing the optional missions with Sargamis in the Dawntreader side quest. The unique weapon can be obtained from Sargamis' corpse, from either fighting him or convincing him to sacrifice himself.

| 1 | ![]() Enter the Eothasian Temple during the Dawntreader side quest. Travel to the end to acquire the Splinter of Eothas on the altar. If you wish to speak to Sargamis peacefully, do not activate his generators before retrieving the Splinter or else he will attack you. |
| 2 | ![]() Speak to Sargamis and agree to place the splinter on the statue. Pull the lever afterwards to trigger a cutscene. |
| 3a | ![]() Speak to Sargamis after the statue fails to activate. Choose to either attack him, or convince him that he should be the sacrfice instead. Attacking him will trigger a fight, and the weapon can be looted from his corpse after. ▶︎ Should You Give Sargamis the Relic? |
| 3b | ![]() Alternatively, you can obtain this weapon without killing Sargamis by following these steps: Select the 3 Intellect / 3 Perception or the Background-specific option in order to persuade Sargamis to stop his experiment. This results in Sargamis walking away from the device without a fight. You can then get the Last Light of Day from him by going up the lift near the statue and talking to him in his room. |
| 4 | ![]() When choosing to convince him, select any of the subsequent choices. Afterwards, wait until he stands beneath the device, then press the button to electrocute him. |

This Enchantment is by far the better choice, boosting the sword’s on-kill health restoration from 3% to 10%. Its alternative, Blinding Daybreak, pales in comparison to the powerful healing provided. Parries already inflict high Stun when done successfully, making it impractical to sacrifice healing for a parry buff.

Information |

|
Weapon Type: Sword Class: Unique Weight: 6 |
|
| Description | |
| The lavish extravagance of this blade belies its wicked lethality. It was crafted for an Eothasian paladin of the order of Kind Wayfarers as thanks by a blacksmith whose life was saved by the paladin. Rumor has it that never once did this paladin ever draw Last Light of the Day from its scabbard, settling every conflict through diplomacy. When they finally reached the end of their long life, they were buried along with this sword, which had yet to draw blood. How and when the weapon made its way to Sargamis' hands is unknown, but from the notches on the blade it had almost certainly seen use well before that happened. | |

theres a peaceful way to get this blade, basically tell him he's wrong and should think on it. i cant remember the exact choices but use your best judgement. afterwards later on you can come back and run the the pilgrims path until you get back to the elevator and go through it. you'll find him sitting there in a chair and when you talk to him he'll tell you how he's reflected and that he has a gift for you. wala you have the blade, and he's still alive.
