Laevatain's Scorching Heart Talent allows her to continually consume the Hill Smasher's Heat Infliction for free Melting Flame stacks, allowing easier access to her enhanced Battle Skill. Due to this, it is best to replace Wulfgard with another support, such as Tangtang or Perlica, as his role as a Heat Infliction stacker is accomplished by the stage's mechanics.
Due to SP constraints, it is advised to switch Akekuri's build to maximize Ultimate Gain (Fortmaker, Redeemer Armor, Eternal Xiranite Gloves, and 2 Redeemer Seals) for better access to her Ultimate.

Due to the constant Heat Infliction, Estella can consistently trigger Solidification with her Battle Skill, prompting a chain of Combo Skill triggers from the whole team. Alesh will constantly generate SP from the Shatter procs and Originium Crystals, easing the SP constraint set by the stage's mechanics.
Moreover, the team's naturally high Stagger can render the boss immobile multiple times throughout the fight, lessening the pressure from the Hill Smasher's constant attacks, Combustion, and the team's lack of healing.

Avywenna can perform in this stage as well, primarily due to Perlica's and Arclight's Electric Inflictions. This team allows easy access to Electrification to improve their damage, albeit requiring micromanagement in Avywenna's Battle Skill use due to the stage mechanics.
The strategy with the team is to only ever use Perlica's Battle Skill or Arclight's Ultimate if the Hill Smasher has 4 stacks of Heat Infliction to maximize the debuff, and immediately follow it up with Avywenna's Battle Skill to recall her Thunderlances and deal damage without the stage's DMG Reduction mechanic.
SP Bar stops regenerating once the enemy turns red.
Vanguards are pivotal in this stage, as natural SP regen is removed when the enemy is Enraged. This happens constantly in the fight, significantly impacting team rotations that require Battle Skill use.
When the enemy is Enraged, players can rely on using Perfect Dodges with Final Strikes weaved in between to recover SP for the team. This is possible due to the Hill Smasher's constant barrage of attacks, but it will require player skill and a study of their attack patterns to properly execute.
When Hill Smasher is Enraged, it constantly applies Heat Infliction to itself, which grants ATK and DMG Reduction buffs per stack present.
Use Arts Reactions or utilize talents that consume Arts Infliction stacks, such as Laevatain's Scorching Heart, to remove the Heat Infliction stacks and improve damage and survivability in combat.
