Get a Fluid Pump and a Fluid Supply Unit

Fluid Pump and Fluid Supply Unit

To start, you'll need two things: a Fluid Pump and a Fluid Supply Unit, both of which can be constructed in the AIC. Once you have the materials necessary, go ahead and craft at least one of each.

Don't forget to pack a power source like an Electric Pylon, Relay Tower, Xiranite Pylon, or Xiranite Relay. You'll need it later.

Set Up the Fluid Pump on the Water to Drain

Determine which body of water you want to drain, then set up the Fluid Pump on it. Make sure the downward-facing pipe is submerged in the water.

Set Up the Fluid Supply Unit on the Transfer Point

Set up the Fluid Supply Unit

Next, you'll need to set up the Fluid Supply Unit in the area where you want the water to go. Preferably, this area should be another body of water.

Once again, make sure that the pipe is facing the water. For the Fluid Supply Unit, the pipe shouldn't necessarily be submerged.

Connect and Power Up the Two Fluid Units

Connect the Units Together

Return to the Fluid Pump and begin running a pipeline from it to the Fluid Supply Unit.

Once the pipeline is complete, set up Pylons and Relays right next to them to power them up and begin the transfer process. Now, all you have to do is wait!

Drain Water for Area Access

In some cases, valuable loot and additional areas lie dormant at the bottom of small bodies of water. Since the Endministrator cannot swim, you must first drain the water completely before you can explore these areas.

Water drained also goes into your Depot for future use!
