The character profiles of Laevatain, Gilberta, and Snowshine mention that they are Rhodes Island Operators assigned to Endfield Industries. This implies that Rhodes Island from Terra is currently operational during the events of Arknights: Endfield and is likely partnered with Endfield Industries.

Note that it is currently unknown if the operators mentioned above are related to Surtr, Angelina, and Aurora of Rhodes Island, or are simply under a different codename.

Terrans and Aethergates

Talos-II—the natural satellite where the game takes place—was discovered through an Aethergate by a Terran, according to an official media post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Terrans are inhabitants of Terra, the planet and primary setting of Arknights. As per the events of Expeditioner's Joklumarkar in Arknights, a portal is found in Terra's polar north, Sami. This is likely the Aethergate used to enter Talos-II.

The post mentioning the existence of both Terrans and Aethergates in Arknights: Endfield implies that the two games are in the same universe. Note that while occurring in the same universe, it is likely that the events of Endfield occur at a different period in time.

Arknights: Endfield Likely Set in the Future

The trailer shows a child infected with what seems to be Oripathy—due to the symptom of black spots on the skin—seemingly treated by a solution injected by Gilberta.

Note that the symptom did not fully disappear, instead reducing to a lighter shade on the affected area. This may indicate that it is not a cure but rather a suppressant, likely allowing the infected to live with regular supplication.

Although not a full cure, the significant progress Rhodes Island has made in treating Oripathy suggests that the events of Endfield are set in the far future of Arknights, where similar treatments are nonexistent and they have yet to make progress in creating a cure.
