How to Make Explosives
Create Explosive with the AIC
To make Industrial Explosives in your AIC, you need to input five Amethyst Parts and one Aketine Powder into a Packaging Unit. This takes 10 seconds to craft, and will result in one Industrial Explosive.
You can get needed Amethyst Parts by running Amethyst Ore through a Refining Unit, then using the resulting Amethyst Fiber in a Fitting Unit. Aketine Powder, on the other hand, is made by passing Aketine through the Shredding Unit.

Explosives Blueprint Layout
The Simplest Layout for Explosives Production
Shown above is the simplest layout for making Explosives in your AIC. There's a bit of a bottleneck for Amethyst Parts, but it will still produce Industrial Explosives at a decent pace for your exploration needs.
The facilities you need are:
- Packaging Unit x1
- Fitting Unit x1
- Shredding Unit x1
- Refining Unit x1
- Electric Pylon x1

How to Use Industrial Explosives
Explosives can be used to clear destructible objects blocking your exploration, on enemies during combat, and for destroying Blight Cores, which are otherwise unreachable with just melee attacks.
Bombing Destructible Objects
Throwing explosives at destructible objects, like cracked rocks and walls, can reveal hidden pathways. These roads can lead to goodies, like chests or Aurylene.
Using in Combat
When you throw Explosives at enemies, they take quite a bit of damage. It's a great way to start fights, especially because the bombs can easily take down weaker enemies.
Destroying Blight Cores
During quests or exploration, you'll encounter Blight Cores that are unreachable with melee attacks. Luckily, you can also use Explosives to take these down!
