How to Unlock Etchspace Salvage

Reach Authority Level 25 and Proceed to the Main Quest

Reach Authority Level 25
You must first reach Authority Level 25 and proceed the Main Quest up to Chapter 1 - Process 3 to unlock Etchspace Salvage. Level up quickly by doing Daily Tasks, spending Sanity with Protocol Spaces and progressing parts of your Regional Development.

Etchspace Quest
You will then unlock the Etchspace Salvage Quest, available as a priority mission in the quest menu. You will be transported back to the OMV Dijiang in this quest and encounter Aquito and a portal that you can interact wth to be taught about Etchspace Salvage's mechanics.

Further Etchspace Salvage sessions require you to go to the Etchspace Room again and interact with Aquito to start or continue a run. You can also quickly continue with the Explore option, or view your rewards progress with Operations Metrics.

Set a Mission Goal Via Exploration Commission

Operation Commission
Start an Etchspace Run by selecting any of the available commissions to complete as part of your goals when exploring the Etchspace. These goals represent different collection objectives that may vary depending on their difficulty.

These mission goals must be achieved by collecting the items indicated while in the zone, so plan your explorations as you have to get in and get out of the Etchspace.

When you are set for the exploration, return to Aquito and press the Explore button and start the run. Do prepare yourself and your characters for this gauntlet, as this mode presents slightly harder enemies.

Start the Exploration and Explore the Area

Begin your exploration by going through the zone and clearing out enemies and collecting the important loot objectives that you must prioritize to get the most out of your run.

Quickly proceed through the areas, make battles quick and solve puzzles to unlock the mysteries of the zone and get rewards.

Extract When Derangement Acceleration is Full

Make sure to monitor your Derangement Acceleration as when you explore the area, this meter will increase over time. This serves both as your time limit and a threat assessment, indicating how hard the exploration will be the longer you stay in the zone.

You will be automatically ejected should this meter reach its maximum, ending your run prematurely. Make your exploration time count and focus on your commission goals!
