Lifeng is a Physical DPS that can inflict Physical Susceptibility with his Battle Skill. This can only work if the enemy isn't Vulnerable, so make sure to use Lifeng's Battle Skill before anything else.
When the controlled operator uses their Final Strike on enemies with Physical Susceptibility or Breach, Lifeng grants Link, which increases the DMG dealt by the next Battle Skill or Ultimate used by the team. This makes Lifeng an essential unit for Physical teams.

Lifeng's Sub-DPS build is the Bonekrusha Gear set with the Mountain Bearer weapon. This build gives him a lot of Strength, ATK, and Physical DMG. Mountain Bearer gives him a lot of his needed stats and extra damage against targets with Vulnerability.
It also increases the damage of his next Battle Skill after his Combo Skill, which will increase the damage of his next rotation in the team. This is even better if he is able to cast two Combo Skills before his next Battle Skill since the damage increase stacks.

Using the Roving MSGR Set gives Lifeng enhanced Physical DMG and Combo Skill DMG while Chimeric Justice increases his primary stat, Ultimate Gain Efficiency, and Critical Rate. Aggeloslayer or Pathfinder's Beacon can be used as alternatives.

Lifeng is a character focused on applying Vulnerability from his Battle and Combo Skills. Lifeng also usually uses his Ultimate after his Combo Skill to consume Link and deal massive damage.
Lifeng's Battle Skill, Turbid Avatar, applies Physical Susceptibility against an enemy that has no Vulnerability initially. This increases the Physical damage they take and can allow him to trigger his own Combo Skill, while also applying a stack of Vulnerability.
Trigger Lifeng's Combo Skill by attacking with the Controlled Operator until their Last Strike hits. The Combo Skill will apply Link to the team, and boost the damage of the next Battle Skill or Ultimate used by them.
Lastly, you can use Lifeng's Ultimate after his Combo Skill to apply two stacks of Vulnerability and consume Link to deal massive damage.
| Priority | Skill | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Battle Skill | Prioritize this as you will be using it frequently since it applies Physical Susceptibility and Knock Down. |
| 2 | Combo Skill | You will be using this to grant the Link buff to your team so focus on this after leveling his Battle Skill. |
| 3 | Ultimate | Features the highest multiplier in his kit. This can be leveled along with Combo Skill if Lifeng is the main DPS on your team. |
| 4 | Basic Attack | Lowest priority in his kit. You can level this last. |
| Priority | Talent | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Illumination | Prioritize this for additional ATK scaling from Will and Intellect, providing a more consistent boost to damage output. |
| - | Subduer of Evil | Deals additional Physical DMG whenever Knock Down is applied. Can be leveled after upgrading other skills and talents. |
| Attack | Description |
|---|---|
| Basic Attack | An attack with up to 4 sequences that deals Physical DMG. As the controlled operator, Final Strike also deals 19 Stagger. |
| Dive Attack | Basic attack performed in mid-air becomes a dive attack that deals Physical DMG to nearby enemies. |
| Finisher Attack | Basic attack performed near a Staggered enemy becomes a finisher that deals massive Physical DMG and recovers some SP. |
