Umbral Monument Stage 2 Mechanics

Normal Enemies are stronger.
Agony Enemies move faster and recover from Staggered more quickly. When an enemy is defeated, the remaining enemies become harder to interrupt, and continuously gain ATK and HP restoration. Tacticals and consumables cannot be used.

Agony Mode adds an effect on top of the Normal mode mechanics.

Physical team excels in Stage 2. While enemies recover from Stagger quicker, this only allows the Physical team to stagger them more often, enabling more Finishers and DPS windows for the team.

Additionally, the enemies are not immune to crowd control. Endministrator's Originium Crystals from their Combo Skill can immobilize an enemy, and Chen Qianyu can juggle them with her constant Lift application, thereby trivializing the fight.

This Yvonne team works great for this stage due to her ability to deal single-target damage and inflict Solidification. The two Heavy Rams here move around a lot while dealing heavy damage, so try to keep them in place with Solidification to prevent being overwhelmed by their attacks.

If you can consistently get proper positioning and timing with Avywenna's Battle Skill against the Heavy Rams here, she can be an effective Main DPS for this stage.

Perlica will serve as a support that can apply the Electric Infliction needed to trigger Avywenna's Combo Skill, while Gilberta can apply Lift to enemies, preventing them from moving for a brief period. Lastly, Arclight helps with SP generation to enable the team's offense.

If you manage to land Gilberta's pull and Avywenna's Battle Skill on targets, you will deal high Stagger to enemies. This enables multiple Finishers during the fight, giving the team a good source of SP.

Da Pan can replace the Endministrator as the Main DPS thanks to his powerful attacks, as well as his Ultimate that can Lift and Knock Down the immobile enemies.
Endfield Akekuri Akekuri Role: SP Gen
Akekuri can be a replacement for Pogranichnik in the Physical team. The consistent staggers allow Akekuri to use her Combo Skill more often, generating SP for the team in addition to her Ultimate.
Endfield Ardelia Ardelia Role: Sustain
Ardelia can be added to your team to help keep health topped up for when you do take damage from the Heavy Rams.

How to Rampaging Shields Tactics Stage 2

  1. Apply Lift or Solidification
  2. Be Prepared to Dodge
  3. Defeat Both Enemies at the Same Time

Apply Lift or Solidification

The enemies in this stage will be moving around the arena quite frequently, making them harder targets to hit. Use characters that can apply Lift or Solidification to interrupt attacks and temporarily keep enemies in place as you focus on dealing damage.

The Heavy Rams are also capable of dealing significant damage as they charge around, so applying these statuses will help you on both offense and defense.

Notable Operators to use for applying Lift or Solidificaton are Gilberta, Yvonne, and Chen Qianyu.

Be Prepared to Dodge

While applying statuses that hinder enemy movement is extremely helpful here, they won't always be readily available. Always be ready to dodge between those brief instances of locking enemies down with Lift or Solidification to avoid taking extra damage.

Defeat Both Enemies at the Same Time

After one of the Heavy Rams is defeated, the remaining enemy will become significantly more difficult to deal with. It will continuously gain ATK and HP restoration while also becoming much harder to interrupt.

To avoid this, get one enemy's HP low, then switch targets before defeating it. Once both Heavy Rams are weakened, finish them off at the same time.
