How to Unlock Protocol Spaces
Find Them in the Map
Most of the Protocol Spaces are in fixed points of the Map. All the players have to do to unlock them is to approach and interact with them to unlock them for good.
Progressively Beat Levels For Harder Fights
Players must reach specific conditions to get to the more difficult rounds of the Protocol Spaces. Beating a level will unlock the next difficulty level, although it is highly advised to match the Recommended Level across all your Operators to stand a chance against them.
Defeat Main Mission Bosses to Unlock RE-Crisis
Certain Bosses that you encounter during the Main Missions will show up again within Protocol Spaces as a RE-Crisis. To unlock their respective Rifts, you have to defeat them first as they appear in Main Missions.

Stages That Cost Sanity to Enter
Protocol Spaces in Arknights: Endfield are special combat stages that cost Sanity to enter, and have specific rewards for the player once completed. These can contain special combat modifiers that can alter how fights play out.
Said rewards are mainly various development materials, used to upgrade both Operators and Weapons. These also provide Authority Level EXP when completed, helping you raise your account level.
