Umbral Monument releases on February 12, 2026 on the version update and begins with the Those Forsaken by the Land challenge series, followed by Inorganic Constructs.

Monumental Etching: Old Wounds

Umbral Monument releases alongside the Monumental Etching: Old Wounds limited-time event which rewards Oroberyl for completing specific challenges.

The rewards for Monumental Etching: Old Wounds will only be available with the current Series Challenge, and will restart with a new set of rewards for the next Series Challenge.

Arknights Endfield - Authority Level Menu

You also need to reach Authority Level 30 to start the new game mode which you can easily earn by spending sanity points, finishing daily tasks, and playing through the main missions.

Endgame Mode Available in Series

Series 1 Those Forsaken by the Land

Series 2 Inorganic Constructs

Umbral Monument is available in series which include multiple stages to progress through and complete. The first series is called Those Forsaken by the Land which runs from Feb 12 to Feb 26, 2026, followed by the Inorganic Constructs series.

Available in Normal and Agony Mode

Umbral Moment Modes
Umbral Monument is initially available in Normal Mode and completing it unlocks the more challenging Agony Mode.

While the details of Agony Mode are currently unknown, it will presumably have stronger enemies and more difficult challenges to complete.

How to Play Umbral Monument

  1. Deploy a Team of Four Operators for Each Stage
  2. Tacticals Are Not Allowed in Agony Mode
  3. Defeat All Enemies Within the Time Limit

Deploy a Team of Four Operators for Each Stage
Umbral Monument allows you to deploy maximum of 4 Operators for each battle. As Umbral Monument is considered the game's endgame mode, we recommend taking time to sufficiently level and gear your team.

You can check each stage's information for the recommended operator level and mechanics and enemies present so you can plan ahead and choose the best operators to field for each stage!

Best Team Comps

Tacticals Are Not Allowed in Agony Mode

Tacticals

Although you can equip Tacticals in Normal Mode, they cannot be equipped and used when playing Agony Mode. This means that Agony Mode may require more team comps to run sustain units such as Ardelia and Xaihi.

Defeat All Enemies Within the Time Limit

Each stage in Umbral Monument requires you to defeat all enemies within the time limit. Although still unconfirmed, it's possible that you'll get better rewards for clearing a stage at the shortest possible time.

・Trimmed Engraved Series Medal

Completing every stage of an Umbral Monument Series in Normal Mode rewards you an Engraved Medal for the series, while completing Agony Mode will allow you to trim your engraved medal.

Completing the series for the first time also rewards a set of rewards that includes a Mark of Perseverance, Advanced Cognitive Carrier, and Arms INSP Set, and a Protohedron.
